Response to this Pandemic
Zimbabwe, as does the rest of the world, continues to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The need to manage the rapid spread of COVID-19 continues given the report of the country’s first case on Friday 20 March 2020 and the country’s subsequent first death on Monday 23 March 2020.
From a hygiene perspective, adequate sanitation is the foremost measure to consider when protecting oneself, and one’s community, from the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) which causes COVID-19. Classified as an enveloped virus, the coronavirus is easily killed when the correct disinfectants are employed. IHS has provided such products for Zimbabwe’s frontline response to the COVID-19. Through the enhancement of our existing product line, we have created, tested, and distributed, a wide range of disinfectants and sanitiser products displayed below all over Zimbabwe to help contain the spread of the virus.
