Our Story

IHS is a Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) IS0 9001:2015 registered supplier. IHS therefore has an established and documented Quality Management System that continuously improves the effectiveness of its processes in compliance with the requirements of a ISO 9001:2015 standard. IHS has the exclusive distributorship of Kemklean Hygiene Solutions products and raw materials in Zimbabwe. The South African based manufacturing company is an ISO 9001:2008 registered supplier whose products carry the SABS accreditation mark. Our precaution to partner with Kemklean in this regard ensures that our customers receive consistently high quality products at all times.
IHS also has the exclusive distributorship of Mandlachem hygiene products in Zimbabwe. With over 20 years’ experience manufacturing, blending, and supplying specialised conveyor lubricants as well as CIP detergents to a wide range of industries such as, but not limited to, the brewing, laundry, and dairy industries in South Africa; Mandlachem remains a reputable and trusted ISO 9001:2015 registered partner to IHS.

IHS manufactures and supplies quality products, supported by relevant technology, to various industries across Zimbabwe. The company continuously strives to offer high quality, environmentally sustainable products to our customers, whilst providing fair returns to our investors. This enables the company to meet, and often exceed, expectations through the technical capacities of our dedicated team.

IHS continues to strive for excellence in a bid to become the supplier of choice in servicing the hygiene industry in Zimbabwe. The company does so whilst paying attention to the responsibility it has to environmental sustainability.
Message from the Executive Director and Founder
Integrated Hygiene Systems (Pvt) Ltd was born out of a recognised opportunity to integrate specific skills of several targeted specialist companies under one roof to form a multifaceted hygiene services company. Having successfully led two of the (then) leading industrial hygiene chemical companies in Zimbabwe, I realised that neither assured their clients access to appropriate in-house technology to expertly cover the full spectrum of their hygiene requirements.
The initial focus of IHS was on the hygiene needs of the food and allied industries with the aim of delivering world class standards to our clients. This vision has, since then, been pursued with passion through the recruitment of highly qualified, and industry focused professionals, to service our clients with requisite technical support.
As a result of over a decade of hard work, I am proud to witness the company’s continued expansion. Today, IHS occupies a firm position amongst recognised industry leaders in specialised industries such as, but not limited to: dairy, crocodile farming, beverage processing industries, as well as mining and engineering sectors. Expanding our offering to include the healthcare sector, for instance, has positioned us to play a critical role in infection control – an integral part of curbing the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sustainability, as a reflection of my personal philosophy, remains close to the heart of the company. As a company formed with the parallel objective of providing sustainable economic opportunities for talented young people in Zimbabwe, practicing sustainability principles solely through the lenses of our manufacturing processes would simply not be enough. Our graduate trainee programme (GTP), and complimentary in-house mentorship structures, highlight that we take our social responsibility to mould, and provide opportunities for, Zimbabwe’s future industry leaders seriously. These programmes are what I believe drive IHS’ collaborative spirit and industry competitive edge.

Philosophy
As IHS carries out its daily mandate of providing total hygiene solutions, it is mindful of the environment and the impact of our products on our customers. It is important for us to promote sustainability through an intersectional environmental approach as we care for our planet as much as we care for our customers and staff.
We action this everyday by reducing waste through recycling, and through provision of environmentally friendly detergents. We also help our customers operate more efficiently, whilst preserving resources, by providing energy sensitive and water efficient cleaning methods.

Role Detail:
Biotechnologist with working experience in microbiology, chemical laboratories, manufacturing Industries in quality control, and quality assurance. As a Quality Controller at IHS, their role is to make sure that production manufactures quality products that satisfy customer requirements through inspections from inputs, manufacturing processes to the output product. They also ensure that product quality is maintained upon dispatch to our customers. Within quality assurance management; they develop, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery. As a Quality Management System Representative, they ensure that the company is fully guided by, and complies with, quality management principles and their system requirements. In this role, they are in charge of ensuring that all employees have a better understanding of the aforementioned through quality awareness training.
